Foreign participation in Brazil’s local debt    According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Finance, non-residents’ participation inBrazilian local public debt decreased to BRL 414bn (~USD 132bn) as of July 2017.    Non-residents’ participation decreased to 12.8%, representing now 34.7% of the internationalreserves (currently at USD 381bn). Foreign participation has been steadily replaced by local funds,which together represent 49.6% of the total public debt.
